Jonathan Brown Foundation will MATCH all donations made between now and August 10th.

Sarcoma, a group of rare bone and soft-tissue cancers, receives very little research funding compared to more common cancers, yet it affects nearly 2,000 Canadians each year. Almost half of those diagnosed will die from the disease. That’s a devastating statistic - highlighting just how urgently we need greater investment in research, awareness, and support.

Thank you for fiercely standing with sarcoma patients and their families.

In June, we awarded scholarships to four remarkable grade 12 students, all of whom have navigated their own cancer journeys. Despite the challenges they’ve faced, each demonstrated exceptional academic achievement - a reflection of their resilience, strength, and commitment to their education. It’s our honour to support their continued academic journeys.

A GIFT OF MOBILITY

This spring, the Jonathan Brown Foundation was honoured to support John Ray and his family with funding toward a mobility vehicle. John lives with muscular dystrophy, and transportation challenges have been a significant part of his daily life - something our own Jonathan experienced during his battle with cancer.

This connection made our support feel especially meaningful. We’re proud to help bring greater ease and freedom to John and his family as they continue navigating life with courage and resilience.

🏃 Shoppers Drug Mart Run for Women

We partnered with the amazing team at SisterAct to participate in this inspiring event focused on supporting women's mental health services in our region.

⛳ Fozzy’s Fight Golf Tournament

We were honoured to participate in Fozzy’s Fight golf tournament held in memory of Nicholas “Fozzy” Foster, a courageous young man from Waterdown who passed away from brain cancer in 2019. The event raises funds and awareness for brain cancer research and family support, and we were proud to stand with the Foster family and our community in honouring his legacy.
