JONATHAN BROWN ACADEMIC SCHOLARSHIP

The Jonathan Brown Foundation is proud to support young people who have faced a cancer diagnosis—offering recognition and encouragement as they take the next steps in life. These scholarships are designed to honour not just academic ambitions, but the courage, strength, and resilience it takes to move forward after a life-altering illness.

Jonathan received treatment at McMaster Children’s Hospital, and in his memory, this program focuses on supporting adolescent patients who have also received care at MCH and are now navigating life after treatment.

Applications are collected by the Foundation and reviewed by an independent committee of compassionate professionals with relevant experience in education, healthcare, and community support — ensuring a fair and thoughtful process that respects the dignity of each applicant.

While we are grateful for the support of organizations like McMaster Children’s Hospital in helping us raise awareness of this opportunity, the selection process is conducted independently.

Together, we are lifting young warriors through recognition, encouragement, and care.
